POSITION DETAILS
Purpose
The purpose of the IT Security Auditor is:
- To comprehensively evaluate our clients’ use and/or implementation of technology and other measures toward their organization’s IT security posture;
- To use proprietary assessment methodologies based upon relevant government regulations and guidelines for our clients’ industries;
- To provide custom recommendations for vulnerability remediation that respect clients’ priorities, operations, and resources;
- To offer ongoing partnership as a trusted security ally to our clients, before, during, and between engagements, drawing upon business and communication acumen (e.g. cross-functional knowledge, strategic mindset, tactical application of solutions, diverse stakeholder communication skills, etc.).
- To ensure high service quality, client satisfaction, and the greatest prospect of return business;
- To represent the organization positively externally to sustain and protect its reputation in the market and with clients, prospects, and candidates.
Specific Job Duties:
The IT Security Auditor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contacting clients before engagements to obtain necessary information
- Performing vulnerability and/or penetration tests on clients’ environments using BAI’s defined and documented procedures
- Providing recommendations based on the organization’s firewall and wireless configurations, as well as network and antivirus policies / procedures compared to current industry best practices
- Conducting social engineering evaluations (email [phishing], phone, and in-person)
- Continually following up with clients throughout the audit process
- Authoring extremely well-written/visual reports for client management (executive summaries) and IT staff (technical) based upon the audit findings
- Providing organization-specific recommendations to remediate vulnerabilities
- Partnering with clients on between-engagement IT security issues as needed
- Traveling an average of 2 times per month throughout the U.S. for 3-4 days on each project
- Other duties as business needs dictate

Specific Job Duties
The National Account Executive’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of area sales and marketing functions.
- Prospects for new business opportunities to expand market share. Conducts regular sales calls to B and C level executives to develop new customer relationships and follow up on existing leads. Proficient in gaining access to decision makers, articulating a deep understanding of customers’ needs, and presenting how the Company’s services provide real value in addressing customers’ concerns.
- Meets or exceeds established quotas and sales objectives.
- Overcomes “sales blocking” objections with mastery to effectively transform the customers’ thinking about their needs and why our solution is vital to their organization. This includes efficient and effective communication about our advantages over the competition. Also, develops sales points to highlight advantages and benefits of Company services.
- Develops strong relationships and identifies prospects’ needs at all decision-making levels.
- Develops customer trust, communicates with persuasiveness, and conveys a clear value proposition.
- Involves BAI senior management and subject matter experts to assist in the sales cycle and help close deals as needed.
- Tracks the status of deals throughout the sales cycle; closes and finalizes sales contracts.
- Assists with coordinating and scheduling of field IT Security and Compliance Auditors.
- Manages and continuously updates existing CRM account base, pipeline, and sales forecast.
- Forecasts short, mid- and long-range sales, service needs, and communicates related information regularly and in a timely manner to management.
- Makes follow-up sales calls to existing customers to ensure continued satisfaction with Company auditing services and deliverables. Ensures sales accounts are serviced in accordance with Company standards and policies. Prospects future project engagements.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with customers and external trade contacts.
- Ensures customers are satisfied with Company services, meets deadlines, and resolves problems quickly.
- Obtains customer feedback and continually works to improve services.
- Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the Company, directly helping to drive positive company exposure and growth via professional networking, social media sharing of company messaging, etc.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and with management.
- Sets activity and sales objectives in accordance with Company objectives. Tracks progress toward objectives.
- Keeps management informed of activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant issues.
- Submits accurate, timely, and complete reports to management as scheduled. Ensures reports and records are up-to-date, accessible, and meaningful for decision-making processes.

TIMEFRAME: We are currently looking to identify two IT Security Auditor Interns to begin their internship May 2023 for an 8-week immersion. Possible full-time employment offer immediately following. (Must be available for employment at conclusion of internship.)
LOCATION: In our commitment to work-life balance, our entire workforce is fully remote, as are our internships. Interns may work from wherever they have a solid internet connection and the ability to successfully complete internship learning and professional experiences.
HOURS: This is a 40-hour per week internship, with work hours falling within standard business hours, approximately M-F, 8/9am-5/6pm.
ABOUT THE INTERNS WE’RE SEEKING: We’re excited to interview internship candidates who are ready to jump in and be trained in our array of security assessment services, while also enjoying the chance to apply recent studies and test the professional waters at a nationally-recognized company known for its friendly and highly expert team, positive culture, high client satisfaction, and cutting-edge industry leadership.
POTENTIAL FOR HIRE: Unlike many organizations, that bring in a slew of interns only to turn them out a few months later, at BAI, we only bring in the number of interns for whom we foresee the strong potential for a permanent opening. That way, our interns are learning from our team, but also working for a likely opportunity.
While we cannot guarantee a job offer at the end of an internship, we can say that 100% of our 2021 and 2022 interns to date were offered and accepted permanent roles with us in IT Security, IT Compliance, and Marketing! As we DO anticipate openings in summer 2023 for the IT Security Team, these interns will have the rare chance to be exclusively considered for the openings before a competitive national search is conducted. As such, this is an exceptional opportunity to come in, learn, show us what you can do, and get to the “front of the line” for role consideration!
Please note: Permanent auditors on our team do travel 1-3 times per month throughout the U.S. to conduct on-site auditing duties, so while interns do not travel, internship candidates must be prepared for this job requirement should they secure the permanent role.)
COMPENSATION: This is a paid internship at $13/hour. Interns who are hired will have a starting salary of $60K.

I.T. SECURITY INTERNS WILL GAIN EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Learning BAI Security’s services from a team of highly trained, certified, and experienced in-house experts
- Learning how to evaluate an organization’s firewall and wireless configurations, as well as network and antivirus policies / procedures compared to current industry best practices
- Performing vulnerability and/or penetration tests on client environments

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:
- EITHER you’ve recently earned your Bachelor’s degree, you’re about to complete your Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited university majoring in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related degree (You LOVE your major and can’t wait to do it “for real!”) OR you have some formal education but also solid real-world experience and/or certifications (You’ve had a taste of the “real deal,” and you want more!)
- You have a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher for your most recent degree or coursework. (Transcripts may be requested.)
- You can provide the names and contact information for 2 professional (non-family/non-personal) references, such as 2 professors in your major or recent internship supervisors or employers. (Show us you’re a standout from your peers!)
- You are a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
- You possess strong communication skills, both in writing and speaking. (This is a big part of what we do!)

POSITION DETAILS
Purpose
The purpose of the Compliance Auditor is:
- To comprehensively evaluate our clients’ use and/or implementation of technology and other measures toward their organization’s IT security compliance;
- To use proprietary assessment methodologies based upon relevant government regulations and guidelines for our clients’ industries;
- To provide custom recommendations for improving internal control structure that respect clients’ priorities, operations, and resources;
- To offer ongoing partnership as a trusted security and compliance ally to our clients, before, during, and between engagements, drawing upon business and communication acumen (e.g. cross-functional knowledge, strategic mindset, tactical application of solutions, diverse stakeholder communication skills, etc.).
- To ensure high service quality, client satisfaction, and the greatest prospect of return business;
- To represent the organization positively externally to sustain and protect its reputation in the market and with clients, prospects, and candidates.
Duties
Duties for this role include but are not limited to:
- Contacting clients before engagements to obtain necessary information
- Conducting compliance audits on clients’ environments
- Identifying and recommending opportunities where clients may improve their internal control structure
- Completing audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings
- Continually following up with clients throughout the audit process
- Authoring extremely well-written/visual reports for executives and managers based upon the audit findings
- Traveling up to 2 times per month throughout the U.S. for 3-4 days on each project
- Other duties, as business needs dictate
