BAI Security Announces Cutting-edge Enhancement to Managed Security Service
BAI Security announces cutting-edge enhancement
to our 24x7 Managed Security
Services by offering an Integrated Network Access Security solution for
protecting internal networks. By integrating Fortinet’s new
FortiGate™-224B Layer-2/3 Switch BAI Security can significantly enhance
internal network security at a network interface (port) level for servers, workstations and critical network devices.
BAI's integration of Fortinet's latest Unified Threat Management (UTM) device significantly improves our granularity for enforcing security policies and protection by providing control
at the network access layer to stop intrusion attempts, viruses, worms, denial
of service attacks, spyware, and blended threats by port/device.
The solution enables clientless access
security that enforces network policies without requiring special end-user
software agents. The FortiGate-224B functions as a high-performance Layer-2/3
switch with integrated FortiOS security solutions such as firewall, intrusion
prevention and antivirus protection backed by BAI's 24x7 monitoring services. The device supports servers and
workstations (PCs), PDAs, VoIP phones, and wireless LAN devices.
The integration of the new Fortinet device
in BAI’s Managed Security Services also provides a dramatic improvement in the
granularity for isolating security threats within the network. Serious threats
found on production systems can now be isolated into quarantined VLANs until the
threats are remediated without impacting the rest of the production environment.
